Aizu troops

This time is the turn for the Shogunate forces, painted as Aizu clan troops. The Aizu was a powerful clan that supported to Shogun until his last days. The history of his Byakkotai (White Tiger Regiment) was that inspired the design of these figures.

  6. Impressive work on these truly well-researched models. Quite the niche which I may someday delve into.

  8. Really want to start building several armies but want to know what you plan to release and a rough timeline. Looking for artillery, standard bearers, characters etc. Looking forward to hearing from you soon

    1. Glad to hear that,
The next release will be troops advancing&charging for both sides, Paul has nearly finished the new dollies. At the moment I'm working on the design of the Shinsengumi including standard bearer and characters as Kondo Isami and Okita Soji among others.
Artillery, standard bearers and characters are in my plans and I will make but I can't give dates for several reasons, Paul Hicks (the sculptor) has a lot of work because work for a lot of companies, another reason is that Bac Ninh Miniatures is a small company and depends mainly of the people support interested in this range.
      What do you think?

  10. Really interesting the hear your plans for the range of figures for this period, as mentioned very keen to start building several armies (very interested in Japanese history see Nathan`s blogsite Lonely Gamers) but as I am not looking at small scale skirmish and I am at a bit of a stand still until I can get some standard bearers. Bit of a catch twenty two really as you want the income to increase the range but I need the increased range to buy? Visiting Japan again very soon, let us know if you need anything?

Thank you for the offer, at the moment I don't need anything of Japan.
